Farewell to President Reagan

I know most of you don't live in the USA, but if you would like to say anything this is the place to do it.

I would like to thank President Reagan for what he did for America during the time i grew up. He was able to make peace with Russia and for that i am very thankful. Thank you Mr. President for giving me a strong and good future.

Amen. President Reagan was one of my heroes. His unfailing optimism in a time of poor national esteem brought our nation out of the dark days of the late '70s. I also grew up with him as President, I remember when he was shot in '81, I remember hearing his speech the day the Challenger exploded, and I remember him shaking hands with Gorbachev. I've measured every President since against the ruler of Ronald Reagan, and I probably always will.

Sesquipedalian -- a really cool word. It means long-winded, polysyllabic, or verbose. See the word describes itself...isn't that neat?

I do hope for him that celestial air traffic control is not run by the people he once massively sacked.

His support of Britain was an external positive that few US Presidents have achieved.
Without the supply of AMRAAM and SIDEWINDER not to mention the secret services to prevent the sale of Exocet's then the UK could be short a LOT of ships and men.
His politics may at times have been extreme ( looked to Thatcher for policy ideas !! ) but he did create a better world for all of it.

Yeah the US should have let the USSR take over Europe during the cold war. The world would be a lot better today. The US would'nt have to deal with all these backstabbing so called allies. We would only have one enemy instead of a thousand.
