Yeah, lot sof UCP memebers don't bother to put where they're from in their profile. C'mon guys at least put a country in. Your safe coz we can't find you but at leat we can know if natinoal differences make our advice pointless !!

So come on guys, press that User CP option at the top and update your profile.

Question

I'm guess ing your from aussie???

Is easy to bring in a car that is 15 years or older there. they r not as strict as other coutrys.

It shouldn't b 2 hard to bring it in tho.

A series 6 FD is not over 15 years old tho........so why ask......... They came into production in 1993, thats 11 years ago.......try asking in 4 more years.

i meant it is 3 years till you can buy an FD that is 15 years old unlike the 4 years you stated since the 3rd gen RX-7 was offered as a '92 model

In the shed
im actually getting a 89 - 91 FC imported around christmas/ new years. the 15 year rule is an Australian vehicle import rule. to dumb it down to its basic level its like this, any car aged over 15 years, to the month (ie a car made in jan 89 can qualify for this but a dec 89 doesnt yet.) can be imported as is from wherever including all mods such as exhausts and such. they have to be complianced at a licensed workshop having things such as petrol holes replaced to suit aussie pumps, child restraint points on the parcel shelf etc. and then you get a certificate from them and you can go to your local rego shop and theyll rego you and off you drive! as opposed to the normal import rule SEVS i think its called where any car over 15 years have to be STOCK STANDARD, even aftermarket wheel have to be returned to standard to be passed, but thats being possibly changed soon as there was such a big stink about it from importers. i good site i use to get my info for aussie imports from is www.prestigemotorsport.com.au they can import pretty much anything from japan. Supras, RX7s, skylines, silvias, 180s whatever tickles your fancy really.

Hope helps your understanding of it. go visit that site if you want more detail.
