New forum colors and layout?

How about it?

I go to three other vBulletin forums (non-automotive, except mine), and two of them feature the "stock" colors and smiles. Is there a possibility that in the near future someone could give this forum it's own unique style? 3D smiles would be nice, and some new buttons ("new thread", "reply"...).

The layout is fine, but I always think it should be by type of car, rather than country. Most countries have fine car, so rather "supercars", and "luxury sedans" type of sections. Not a big deal I guess *shrugs*

Maybe I'm just odd, but I like uniqueness. I'm fairly new at posting here, and it's the only automotive forum I'm going to (well, that's 'active") since most I find are filled with twerks that judge cars by style only, and even worse find civics with wings nice..

Great place though

I like UCP the way it looks. But In do agree that we could do with more smileys and new buttons. Yes to the type of car search as well- such as "super-saloons/coupés/estates". But where would the Mazda RX-8 come in? And the Mercedes CLS? Maybe we should ask the manufacturers to stop marketing their cars as something they're not! So that means bye-bye to all stupid mini-MPVs and on-road off-roaders....

Personally I like the colors of these forums ... then again I have been here long enough to remember the green and creme days, I haven't looked into ny other layouts so I find nothing wrong with it currently - its functional and very easy to navigate ... what would be better?

And would it be a little bit too much work? Or is it quite easy?

Quite easy, especially with vBulletin and there manuals. I have vBulletin, and it's like making choclate milk, only you spilled a little so you have to clean it up.

I tried this thread awhile back, and nobody seems to want a color change

but i still think UCP could be better if there were different shades of blue, the current "grey blue" is kinda bland imo

Yeah, lets make a "Ricer UCP" for all those who want flash colours, stickers, wings and bolt-on bits !!

I like UCP's understated look and value it's CONTENT way above any schemes.
Let other forums struggle for popilarity through flashy-bits

Matra dont even say "Ricer UPC" now I wont be able to sleep tonight

anyways keep ucp the same. The blues make it look clean, I really dont want to see flashy neon colors and such. I remember the green and cream color, making it blue is the best change we ever had.

Just give me a couple of smiles, a frown, a what-the-*, and we'll be good. No change for the sake of change. Any color blind individuals having problems, speak up now. But I think the problem there is differentiation between reds and greens.
