aha, as a car and fast car enthusiast what you're needing is time in a car on a track or road with Jackie Stewart, Derek Bell, Jean Ragnotti. Jimmy McCrae, John Surtees, Stirling Moss. Or better still, in competition with them !

With experience comes an inordinate level of skill which enables a driver to anticipate a reaction which still keeps them at a higher pace than most drivers - including some modern track jockeys !!

What is lost in reaction time is more than made up for with what can only be learned by action

( Personal experience, we lost in a rally before Christmas to two huys in their late 50s in a Mk 1 Escort. True the MGB can't compete on power and handling but the driver was as close as I've seen enyone get in driving a la Roger Clark and was spectacularly fast. Drving the ame car for 35 years he knows EXACTLY what he and the car can achieve )
