I you check out the Motorsport.com galleries from this point onwards - http://www.motorsport.com/photos/sel...ay&Y=2006&O=12 - then you can see plenty of pics of the "Energy Station" with some eye-candy frolicking about on it.

Well all and all it was a good race to watch. Sadly Kimi didn't finish, and in my opinion Rubens "the Human Train" Barrichello didn't really deserve his position...

True, and at least it wasn't the guy in second place holding the rest up, letting Alonso get away... There actually was competition for most of the race of the first positions.

^ pic and its story material

it was a HUGE disappointment that Kimi/Webber didn't finish. Obiviously they need to revise the engine rules because if a half-dozen cars drop out due to engine problems, something is seriously wrong.

Its not the engine rules that do it, it wouldve come about from the cars running around to the same sort of heat requirements as they do at Sepand do to such a low average speed.

Absolutely gutted for Webber, it looked like even though Raikkonen was the fastest of the trio, Webber might have had a better strategy but we'll never know. And what ther f*** were the marshalls doing about those blue flags. The only driver i saw 100% yield in traffic was Rosberg!

I dont know if every one has had a look at the cause of Webber and Nico's retirements, but they say it was broken exhaust each time setting the loom ablaze.... Upon careful deliberation with a few people in the know, we came to the conclusion that the team went for a thinner walled system... and it was too thin. or possibly just fatigue. Matra would have a better idea. And Fisi should have his arse kicked for not yielding straight away to the blues...after all he was the first car to be overtaken...

It was cool how Massa took a "shortcut" outside of the tunnel but was not repremanded. What happened to Sato? why did he drop out?

I think the drive to reduce the rear cross-section and so all the bodywork is now closer to the components and less air flowing over to cool. That may be the root cause or the reason a possibly ok at test track thinner material failed.
The slow laps under SC woudl have made heat build up as no fast air moving through the smaller gap. the small gap makgin it more critical to slower road speed.
F1 still runs the Chapman mantra -- make it lighter till it fails and then add back the last thing taken out

I think that the idea of taking the cape to the podium was stupid and somehow a disrespect to someone. I don't know yet if it was to the royal family, the fans, the usual red bull sponsors, etc... F1 is not a circus!
