CGT for sale in Mexico....cheap!!

I was browsing a local used car web page and found this link.: http://2005porschecarreragt.tripod.c...ndex.album?i=1

A crashed CGT, $2 Million pesos = $174,000.00 USD. Wonder how much it would cost to fix?

That car is dead, think of how he drove that, the chips and scratches on the paint must be like one dollar bills in a strip joint.

All those cars are from a salvage auction Copart. The Ferrari was in Hammond Indiana, I know this because I begged my dad to buy it since he has a salvage licenses.

Actually if you buy it you could sell the good stuff for spare parts. I personally would keep the bucket seats and save it to make a cage to mount steering wheels and stuff for driving games.

It will probably cost no more than $50,000 to fix.

Actually I don't agree on that because aluminum (if it does contain it) is expensive to work with and the carbon fiber parts by themselves probably cost more than 50K. The bodywork is the killer and you haven't even added in the headlights, tailights and underbody work (if there is any).

I didn't look at the picture, but I can tell you that the car islikely unrepairable.

DOT states that a minor dent, even a door ding on a CGT, renders it totalled.

The carbon fibre is so well constructed that however minor the crash was, the carbon fibre likely lost it's stiffness, which is noted in the DOT to be totalled. That's all I can say.

Sorry... good engine though:P
