Clutch I would go a crate motor LS2 from the states and give it an edit and exhaust, will give it well over 300kw at the crank, what do the gt40 replicas weigh.

mate go high tech put a lexas 32valve alloy v8 in it
you won't get 300kw but it won't weigh as much but it'll make about 250kw with a bit of work

Dont let a guy from america called slicks* hear you say that , the 4 litre lexus motor is a sweety, 6 bolts, main knife edge crank and a super strong bottom end, which says give me boost. Was talking to the tuner for who tunes ledgers WRX and he was saying they built a 4l lexus with a supercharger running on methanol and put the wrong pulley on and got over 1000hp all on a stock bottom end. A little supercharger with 10 psi would give it very close to 500hp with a nice fat torque curve.

* Slicks is a ls1 fanboy that wont hear a bad word about the LS1, and thinks hp/l is as he says for noobs and people that know nothing about engines

here are some of his posts

nah they are cheap now to buy second hand, you can get a good one for under a grand probably 3-5 grand on supercharger, decent ecu,new low comp pistons and new rings, freshen of the bottom end bearings and a different bell housing for the holden 6 speed and you would have a bulletproof drivetrain for 6or so grand. The beauty of the 4 litre is its very smooth and revs well due to its shortish stroke, combined with the supercharger would give a very linear( controllable) power delivery.

The guys that tune our engine would do the whole lot including final dyno on their engine dyno, 80% of their work is from interstaters.

Eventually once the kids are older, I want to put a twin turbo lexus motor in a Charger for a bit of old skool meets new skool, with a decent 4 speed auto and rear irs

Hey if it was my car, there'd be an alloy 5.4 going in there, but that'd end up being a $10K+ engine
