Death Proof - Quentin Tarantino movie

Wow
Just back from a preview screening and this is a MUST for QT fans and more importantly ...... muscle car fans !!
Stuntman Mike's two "death proof" cars are a 1970 Chevy Nova and a 1969 Dodge Charger

Real muscle cars doing real driving and stunts on real roads. No CGI, no FnF BS

Kurt Russel plays the "baddie" brilliantly and the ladies are mighty pretty
The movie is presented like a 1960s B-movie in the movie-theater ... so the scratches and missing bits are deliberate. AND it works well.

Some great dialog (in bits) as well.
Best of all is the music -- oh and the lap dance

However, if you don't liek to here swearing (!) or seeing powerful women characters who can actually drive then avoid it

Awesome! I see he's reverted to his old style of filming rather than his recent stuff which I have thoroughly disliked. This will be a must-watch

I saw it as part of the Grindhouse two film special earlier this year, it was paired with Rodriguez's Planet Terror. I must say it was terrible. Planet Terror was kind of almost worth it, perhaps if seen at a cheapo theatre. In fact, the only truly redeeming part of the double feature was the faux cheesy 60s-style movie trailers in as part of the feature.

Avoid like the plague.

I feel the same way. Planet Terror was alright, Death Trap was a miss for me.

I'll take a look at this movie later on maybe. I liked both Kill Bills, so I'll probably like this one too.
