It looks weird.

According to the link it was a Group 5 Montecarlo built by a private US team. Later it was converted to be road legal by its owner. And that's why it doesn't look exactly like a proper Group 5 Montecarlo.

I had the opportunity to see it in action for the 75th Anniversary of the Montujïc racetrack and I can say the ALS was functioning all the time. Nice car but not my cup of tea.

No(r)way.
If i was to go up that alley, I would rather take this:

1982 Lancia 037 Evo2 Rally, Grp. B, for sale: Anamera

or this:

1983 Lancia 037 Rally for sale: Anamera

or maybe this:

1983 Lancia RALLY 037 GROUPE B for sale: Anamera

How road legal could it be? I bet it's as loud as it used to be and it hasn't even been detuned. (Hard to say though, because I couldn't translate the page.)

Isn't that when they put extra fuel in the exhaust so it blows up in there, spooling up the turbo faster?

I learned that from Initial D. Who said that drifting and anime never taught you anything?

On a side note, is this car in the Hide Out? I would like to check it out.

It was detuned, from 490bhp to 320bhp.

As for pictures, there are some of the works Group 5 Betas in the Beta thread.

Thanks.

These old Lancias are really cool. Wish they had their former glory.

What killed the company anyway?

It has been a combination of Fiat managers and Alfa Romeo.
