I played GRID demo, and it seemed terrible. Did they change the physics engine in the full game?

I have been playing Far Cry 2 online a lot now. The MGL-140 is so much fun.
MGL=Multiple Grenade Launcher.

Call of Duty World At War- I just finished the single player missions, I haven't gotten a chance to play multiplayer.
Far Cry 2- In the middle of the single player, same as above.

Was back home for the weekend, so I got to play Bioshock.
