has anyone downloaded the demo?

i just did it today and i must say i am impressed. i originally thought it would be kind of lame given the relatively small ammount of vehicles and units and stuff. plus it seemed to me like the halo universe didn't lend itself to a realtime strategy game.

however, playing the demo, i must say i was incorrect. it seems like the game will have a pretty sweet plot. it plays better than the command and conquer games and the graphics are really good.

if you havent downloaded it yet, i recommend that you do. you wont be dissapointed.

If you have money a new 360 is worth purchasing in general imo.

Yeah, I heard they made the chip smaller so less overheating = less RROD probability. I don't know/am not sure about how much they overhauled it though.

I know 4 ppl (myself included) who have purchased a 360 in the last year and a half. None of us have experienced even the slightest problems with our consoles........and we are all pretty fanatic gamers. I've already done a 16 hour straight stint on Oblivion......hassle free.

I do plan to download the Halo Wars demo tomorrow night....haven't picked up a strategy game of any kind since the original Populous.

my original 360 died after a month...i bought that the day it came out..so they replaced it with the one i have now...so it lasted 2 years

I just needed a reason to buy it again...havent had time or any urges to play videogames in the last 6 months....

well in that case, yes, the halo wars demo is good reason to buy a new 360.

the new ones use a new motherboard so they are supposed to overheat less. i bought one when they first came out and the video card died on me about 2 weeks ago. i had it in kind of an enclosed place cause i got a new entertainment center. learned my lesson for sure.

so idno Well see, I dont know yet if I want to spend $200 for a demo...might just wait for a real game

Release date is 3/3/09 so the wait would not be very long at all in that case. Already reserved my copy, can't wait.
