What is this?
I was at the weekly car gathering last night and in pulls a car with some weird object on a trailer.
I can't figure out what it is and neither could anyone else. I walked over to it about 10 minutes after it was parked. I don't think the owner was there because other people were looking at it and asking what it was. It kind of looks like a giant wheel cover (hubcap)? Or maybe a UFO that crash-landed?

A hubcap for a mining truck?
Or perhaps an art?

Yeah, that's what I thought at first... some kind of "art." If it is, it's poor "art!"

Yes, someone at the car show did say a giant telephone dial. Don't think it's functional, though!

It's the drain cover out of my sink, I was wondering where it went.

It's the body cap for the Hubble Space Telescope.

I thought about that, but there's only 8 holes.

Cadillac will reveal a new model later this week at Pebble Beach.
This looks like the cupholder to me.

Maybe you are thinking of a '59 or '69 Caddy... I guess the new model to be revealed will be the ATS, so it should be 3 series sized in proportions, or thereabouts. I want to see if Cadillac can compete with the Germans at the thick end of the market. |

Oh, and Cadillac will never be at the thick end of the German market.

It also seems to me that BMW, M-B, and Audi are all getting "softer," while Cadillac is getting "harder," if you dig me. |

No doubt... the CTS-V is a bad mutha. Now GM has to sell it. But that's another thread...

I see a fair amount of CTSs around. I think that GM should line up the ATS, CTS, and XTS to be more in line size-wise with the 3/C/A4, 5/E/A6, and 7/S/A8 respectively. That the CTS is bigger than the 5 could be problematic when/if the XTS is released. Oh, and make the XTS rear wheel drive if you decide to make it GM. Probably though, it would be best if you left the high-end realm to the Germans. Your low end fight may not go well with them. |

Maybe. A cupholder for VERY big cups.
