Best fuel tank placement for a front-mid engine sport car?
IMO locating the fuel tank behind the rear wheels is not only dangerous in a crash but its also poor weight distribution.
I'm not sure if Dodge Viper fuel tank placed over the differential is actually an improvement. Maybe Corvette C6 twin fuel tanks just before the rear wheels is the way to go? Although you're literally sitting on the fuel tank. |
