Finished* Gulf BMW Z4 GT3

This is Fujimi's latest 1/24 kit painted in Gulf colors with the Gulf Marine MP4/12C GT3 as inspiration. A kit of that car was announced as I was in process with this one so I may do a Gulf McLaren too.

I used various decal sheets to complete the phantom livery.

Pretty decent kit except for during final assembly I discovered the front and rear track was too wide so I had to narrow suspensions. Also the one piece window shell didn't fit well so I had to cut the shell into four pieces.

This one is only a custom paint project, everything else is out of the box stock except I glued some plastic screen over the molded in fake screen areas on the body. I have done about ten custom paints and I have 5 or 6 custom bodywork projects in various stages. Lately I've been buying F1 kits of cars from 1976 thru 2010. I like the 90's cars the best and I look for interesting liveries mostly, not driver or car significance.

Next up I'll be finishing this 1/20 scale Simtek S941.
