Thanks! Very good ones.

That still lives on in the Bugatti Veyron.
Thanks much! Interesting one. I can't decide if I should include it, as it was left in concept stage.

Thank you! Could you explain a little bit more why is the RS2 a "milestone" in your opinion?

Thanks very much. Please explain in just a single sentence why are the cars you mentioned considered to be milestones. If you don't mind, of course.

Very beautiful one. But is it a milestone at all? Please if you know more cars of this era, that could be milestones of the car manufacturer, feel free to post them.

The RS2, as i wrote earlier, is the first Stationwagon, with power.
Build by Audi, perfected by Porsche says it all. Now both BMW, Mercedes and Jaguar all try to replicate that feeling the RS2 had. Kinda like all small cars today try to replicate the Golf and 205 Gti feeling.

The A2 because it was the first car to go for new technologies in the small car category and therefor a forgotten pioneer (the term pioneer can be discussed if current, if it's forgotten ) in the green car movement, with being very fuel efficient and low polluting.

But Dudi11, this is the things you shouldn't investigate yourself .

Apparently before Group B was canned they had an engine that was pushing 1000bhp, but when they put it in the car, it had a tendency to just go straight in corners.

With all the wings they put on the pike's peak car it'd've turned into a glider after sailing over the edge...

The rally audis on loose barely steered with "only" 600bhp.
Drivers have to create a pendulum effect to get car to be rotating as it comes ot the apex of a corner.
A skill few perfected and one I failed miserably

You woudl use the same method with 1000hp JUST it now happens faster and needing better precision on strting the pendulum 200 yards back !!!!!

Hello!

I am back on-topic to thank all of you, who posted your opinions, comments and examples of Audi milestones. It was really a great help and I am amazed how much posts got in there. You are great!

Now it is up to me to show you the actual "Audi Milestones" artwork that I created. I did some further research about the cars you mentioned, and finalised a list of 12 cars.

The graphical artwork, process of creating, research and list of vehicles is located on my Audi blog here:
The Audi Design Performances

A mention of the actual forum with it's name would be nice .
A little commercial so the hits on the site would be great.

But i'm glad you took 2 of my suggestions, (well almost).

Have to say, that is a great idea with a roof design representing Audi timeline - looks really interesting. Very nice job!

Also, I think you may find more interesting subjects on this forum if you stick to it
