GTA Episodes From Liberty City, this and Fallout GOTY will keep me busy, until Red Dead Redemption comes along and after it actually, i'm set on bulding a game library to use when i have time, probably when i'm old and slow.

I'll admit I had a giggle at that. Yes, and only 1 built too.

    Hmm.. I see a logitech G19, a 24" or so monitor, a pretty serious graphics card.. so I'd guess at least a core i7 930, 6GB ram..

This thing looks pretty nifty actually - and with a moderately usable keyboard, something my Acer neglected to fit

I guess that's 3 and a half or so internets to you. Monitor's 27" Dell, keyboard/processor are correct, graphics is HD5870.

I was going to say 27", but then I'd've made mine feel inadequate. Nice rig, should handle pretty much anything you throw at it.

BlackBerry Curve 8520 free upgrade on my T-Mobile contract. Had planned to switch to o2 with a Nokia X6, then found a slightly better deal on the BlackBerry Curve 8900, went to cancel the T-Mobile contract and they offered me an even better one on the newer 8520, so I went for that. Arrives tomorrow

BTw, has anybody here any experience in those ultra-small 14" laptops (i dunno how they are called)? I'm thinking about buying one (my PC is beginning to become a bit old, but only a bit, and it's not the most compact computer in the world). Can you recommend me one? It should be a good bang for the buck because i don't want to spend too much money on one. Can you help...?

Any plans to go 3GB? I'm somewhat embarassed to admit this little netbook somewhat more impressive than my ThinkPad!

RAM wise ? More is a waste in an ATOM setup.
It's brain dead 32 bit cheap chip.
Good for mail, word, a few spreadsheets and web browsing.

3G network ? Nah, too many compromises and the external dongles are cheap and cheerfull and MUCH easier to "upgrade" as faster comes
We are WiFi or GSM. 3G is slow(er) getting to some countries.

Commodore, dont' waste your money on laptops if you are goign to be at home adn wanting a decent screen and performance. You get LOTS more bang for your buck going desktop AND it's upgradable Not to mention a screen large enough to enjoy Wouter/Pieter's best pics

If you are need the portability then again don't go for the current "sexy marketing" tools of iPads and Netbooks.
Get a decent machine with decent processor ( i3 or i5 MINIMUM ) and plenty of space for enough RAM and size for a decent screen. AVOID the Intel GMA graphics if you really want to do anything intensive ( eg gaming or real HD content )
