PS- Just curious, does anyone base thier view on older GT-500's from the Elanor version?
Hell yea, that movie definetly helped. I'd never seen a mustang that nice until Gone in 60 seconds. I'd rather have that than the new one, I'd rather have any 60's mustang than a new one.

The Mustang of the movies has barely anything 60's about it...

there is a place that makes exact replicas of Elanor
I know there is, but does Elanor shape your opinion of a 1967 gt500.

I'd take a modern AC Cobra, then buy one a removable hard-top for it so I can (theoretically) drive it in the rain!

I'll take the AC Cobra or even a well made replica any day of the week, it's small, light, nimble, has a huge engine in it, wickedly fast and it's gorgeous. Gotta love it.

The Shelby Cobra with its 427 is fast and just beautiful. But the GT500 on the other hand is a animal with its 428 and more hp but I think the Cobra is faster because its lighter by quite a bit. If I ever get rich I will own one of each.

Actually no, the 427 on the Cobra was said to produce up to 485bhp. The 428 on the GT500 only had 355bhp at best (which was rumoured to produce 410bhp, still not as much as the 427).

Cobra, a really good modern one with IRS and the LS6/C5R hybrid engine in the HRT 427

Well its very hard to know the actual numbers on the car since Ford underated them so much. 485 hp in a package that weighs under 3k that sounds deadly and just fast.

I agree, no comparison between a 1960`s Cobra and a new Mustang.

sure, but that's not an absolute no-go for those who may be able to contribute

The key is indeed contribution, I like that
I was afraid of having to deal with a multi-holy-thread-revival like it happened quite often lately, so I posted what I thought was kind tip.
