    Looking for clues....

    Hi there, fellow carnuts;

    I landed on this forum while searching for information about the origins of this;

    http://www.gummen.org/quiz/quiz_main.asp

    rather obscure (well, to me anyway) car. It's the subject of a quiz, in which there is no prize to be won actually, but if anyone objects to my search (the whole idea is to find out the make and typ of the car by whatever means possible, so why not ask other forums, eh?): all usable info will be appreciated; this thing has cost me a lot of sleep the last couple of days....

    It might be a Quantum.
    British kit based on Escort or Fiesta.
    BUT the rear isn't like the one's I've seen.
    You can search around those and see if you find it.
    Good luck

    Hi there M&A;

    Thanks for the input. I found some pictures of this Quantum kitcar you suggested and i'm afraid it's not the one. Judging by the size of the wheels and tires on the mis(t)erymachine plus the looks of the seats and steeringwheel I tend to think it is something using Yank donor parts.

    Hi there, HemiCude500 (nice car!);

    According to the hints given so far it's not European. It could be either South-American, Mexican, Australian or from New-Zealand. Engines were Renault or a US V-8. I'm puzzled....

    Hi there, IB4R;

    The Clan Crusader is a small British Hillmann Imp-based, rear-engined sportscar. It does have a certain similarity, though. Thanks for the input.

    Hi there fellow carnuts;

    After a final sleepless night spent googling I found the rascal; it's a 1981 Crespi Tulieta GT Coupé. Hands up who ever saw one in the flesh, you must be from Brasil....
