you're Lord & Master............. Foamy
Why is this in website discussion ?
If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

Probably because he has some kind of 3D internet browser and he wants to make UCP look different at different angles.Originally Posted by Wouter Melissen

Pearlescent is jsut the sparkly top coats over base colour.
I think you are referring to DuPonts "ChromaLusion" paints where the pigment actually has a different colour depending on teh angle you view it at.

Colour-shiffting paint is the generic term for it.

I think I posted about this somewhere else.... not sure where though! We used to have a colour changing Nissan Primera (they did special editions of the Micra, Almera and Primera in different combos).
The name given to the Nissan one was "Chromaflair paint" and it worked in a special way. Absolutely thin layers of microscopic flakes are applied to the car body. From what I remember, the flakes are actually colourless, but the visual colour is made depending upon the thickness applied and the light interaction. Our Primera GT was listed as "Mystic Green" and would change from green to purple. Those were the extremes, but it had a whole myriad of colours in between. Was amazing to see. Managed to hunt some pictures off the net. Best one to show it off is the first picture.
The car was at its best in the summer, the whole side of the car would flip from green to purple as it went from shadow to light. I loved that car so much!! Attracted a lot of attention! Even let us off a ticket once!
