    P 4/5 Competizione

Skimmed the site.. Looks like works just getting started. Must be great living the auto enthusiasts dream, an added plus being your realized efforts provide the rest of us gearheads the satisfaction in witnessing these projects come to fruition.

Do you have any other plans in the works, or will you take time off to bask in the glory of the p4/5 family you're breeding?

Keep us posted.. You never disappoint Jim.

A Scud seat would make a pretty awesome lounge room chair. Or gaming rig.

Great to see more progress Jim, your projects like this are truely awesome.

This is rediculously cool and a road version is gonna be even cooler. Do you have plans to enter LMS or FIA GT (if it survives) or is the 'Ring 24 gonna be it's only voyage?

If it's street legal it may not comply with GT2 regs.. and if it does comply, it might not be competative with the compromises to keep it street legal. That would clearly be awesome though.

It will be EXP1 basically a GT2 except for the fact that it's body shape is based on a one of one (P 4/5) not a holomagated car like an F 430. It's race mechanicals will be F430 GT2. It will run with cats and DOT headlights etc.
After the race other road modifications will be made.

So far it's just the 24 of Nurburgring and likely a practice 6 hour race but I do think she'll bring some fans along so who knows we may get more invitations to race. If Le Mans called I wouldn't say no.

Any idea what the livery will look like? I'm drooling just imagining those curves in Blu Pozzi or TdF!

Any word from the ACO about this? Would it not get the other manufacturer's noses outta joint if a one of one got to race alongside them, even if you were in your own class? I would say the N24 is one thing, and Le Mans another.

How has the factory reacted to your project?

EDIT: And congratulations on finishing work on the car. Looks absolutely awesome and I must say I am quite excited to see the car be driven in anger.

A rough synopsis of the above states it will compete in the "experimental" class, possibly against the Alfa TZ3 Zagato and Porsche 918 hybrid. Should be interesting!
