I know on paper this comparison seems 'unfair' but this comparison isn't about speed and power. Its about street credibility. Do you all remember when movies like The Fast and The Furious and games like Need For Speed Underground came out?, the Nissan Skyline instantly became every boy's dream car. It was as desiarble as a Playboy bunny. It had street credibility. It had 'wild looks', huge power and speed. But now the Bugatti Veyron with 1000 BHP, insane looks and a top speed of 252 mph(406 km/h). I really think that this could be the next Nissan Skyline. Think about it. They could make movies about it. Movies called The Insanely Fast and The Stupendously Furious. Or maybe the Bugatti could feature in a Bond movie, not that 007 could do any stealth missions in it. But really, the Bugatti has got a lot of potential in it and only time will tell if this will become the new Nissan Skyline.

You got it wrong. The Nissan Skyline is the "ricers" dream. I wouldn't drive one today for the image it gained on such bad taste movies. And it's ugly like hell, anyway.
The Bugatti Veyron doesn't seem the kind of car wich Mr. Connery would drive on his secret missions. But judging by todays 007, everything is possible.
To end this post, let me recomend you a PS2. You need something better to do with your free time.

Let me give a Chevy Vega a "little tweak" and I'll run your Skyline into the ground. Little tweak being a turbo LSx swap.

It's the same old "X car + $50,000 worth of mods will destroy Y car that costs 6 times as much as X+50,000." Any car can be made fast. It's a matter of how deep your pockets are. And being the underdog means you don't have credibility.

because the way the drive lay-out for the front wheels was designed made it impossible to change the car to left hand drive configuration.....
