Guys cut it out holdens white elephant here not bickering about grammar.

His points are easier to understand if he follows a reasonable pattern of writing.
As for teh W427....right car, wrong time IMHO.

I dont know why but im finding that extremly funny and your right on both accounts.
I notice no ones challanging me on money loosing but image building cars while loosing money on a car doesnt sound like a good idea the image created and seeing a car can leave a very noteworthy mark on a persons brain.
Like an article I read in streetmachine one time v8 supercar champion=holdens rule I want a HSV cant afford that get a SS cant afford that get an S all the way down to exec and people still feel they are driving somthing with winning v8 supercar DNA. Im sure itll pay for itself in that same manner.

I think it's good an Aussie has 150k plus to shell out on a Australian built car.
Mind you, I think the 427 would handle as good if not slightly better then a M5, And I'm sure performance would be as good if not better.
And still stick the pram in the boot, And drive the kids to school and go shopping.

unfortunately yes
the M5 i drove briefly sounded nice and thats about it.
handles on rails? it got it's ass handed to it by porsche boxsters and 20 year old 944's LOL
yeah...no. the 5 series really is little better than a normal GTS by any practical measure.
um... then why buy an M5 or indeed, any BMW? depreciation ahoy on them barges, matey
not unless it's a E30 or E92 M3
not a f*cking chance. not driving a 5 series ever again
sucker.

I would personally if i had 150k and wanted a Holden..
I'd buy a Senator, Stick 20k in the engine driveline etc, 10k brakes, 5k into the suspension,
See what is the widest tyre that will fit on the bum, Get that silly walkinshaw bonnet scoop, Go black whole car, Remove rear boot lid, And thats it.
plan B is above with a Grange.

The best news i've heard is GM are going broke in the U.S so the 427 might be a collectors car you can have. with any luck there will only be euro cars on the road plus a couple of japanese to fill the gaps.
They been going broke for the last 20 years.

38 years i was close..
GM is slack, They build crap and have only just got it i think, And even then, They might not turn it around..
But they will chop and sell everything outside the U.S to save there Yank bacon.
Chev needs to replace there shit with Holdens, Atleast then they might hold together a bit longer then the driveway.

Its not such a bad idea though. You know how they say when the US sneezes, the world gets a cold. GM, Ford etc are largely making a profit outside the US, but inside theyre still spewing money and thats dragging them down as a whole. They genuinely think they can get back on track but theyre running out of capital to soak up all their losses, so they have to start selling and downscaling to keep it going.
