There almost have to be more but I can't think of them at the moment.

EDIT: Shouldn't have forgotten the Volvo 240DL Turbo wagons.
The Ferrari 288 GTO was produced in 1985... that's a pretty cool car.

And for something cheaper, the early Toyota Celicas and Celica Supras were really nice, RWD coupes. The Nissan Skyline R31 generation was pretty cool looking too.

The Honda Prelude would have also been a nice pick. By that time it was onto the second generation, and while not my favorite, still has the popup headlights.

    205 GTI, 75 3.0 America, GTV6, Golf GTI, 900 Turbo, Thema 8.32, Delta HF Integrale, 5 Turbo, 5 GT Turbo, Sierra Cosworth, Capri 2.8i, SD1 Vitesse, 635 CSI, M3, 190E 2.3-16 Cosworth, F40, 959, Omega 3000 GSI, NSX, MX-5... and many more I'm surely forgetting now.

The 80's are far too full of great cars.

Oh yes, there are plenty of good cars from the 1980s, I was just trying to think of Japanese cars manufactured in 1985.

Not all were available in '85, especially in the US which tends to get the international leftovers, but a pretty good list. My dad had a Scirocco 16v and loved it. The same guy who has had both a 351c Mustang Mach1 and an Lt/1 350ci z28 Camaro, among others. Best car he ever owned, though, according to him, was his '00 Passat V6 4motion wagon. I tend to agree, it was all-around refined, well thought-out and well-executed. Except for maintenance, that is, but our dealer was awesome.

So true. The F40 is my all-time favourite supercar BTW.

I agree, that Passat is a pretty special piece of kit. It's a nice sleeper, and almost an Audi A4 Avant you could say.

I agree, a lot of people still think it's the last proper Ferrari from the factory. However, there's also the Porsche 959, which I think would make a much better daily driver. Both are truly amazing though.

It's somewhat like what I feel about Honda, it's really lost its way, especially after 2000.

Not almost, it is the first generation Audi A4.

Choose your favorite car from the year of your birth.

For me- it has to be the Acura NSX.

From memory, I thought it might have started production in 1989, so it may not be right, but it does say 1990 in the Wikipedia article.

As i am 90's born so Ferrari F355 F1 was my favorite one.....

My dad was born in 1961 and always had a few models of cars from that year around. I was jealous; 1991 didn't have much to offer. I looked around, found some funky Japanese cars but nothing that really grabbed me. Then I got older, got into European cars and discovered the Lancia Delta Integrale Evoluzione. One of my favorites, very neat car.
