    Pepsi? EVO ... ???

I've been seeing a grey Mitsubishi EVO VIII with all sorts of speed-shop stickers plastered from bow to stern and a "let's crack some fiberglass" bodykit zooming around the roadways of Central Nowhere, Arkansas for the last year or so. As a proud Subaru driver, I take his presence in My town as an utter insult, but I've never had the opportunity to get close to the car or have a good-natured argument with the driver on why his engine architecture is stupid.

I got a closer look at it the other day, though the driver was nowhere to be seen. It was parked outside the Faulkner County Courthouse (reckon why?) and saw, to my unalloyed horror, the Mitsubishi badges were painted over and Pepsi badges slapped on in their stead.

I'm sure you can all imagine my confusion.

Here's what I've found out about it:

Go figure. It wound up in Arkansas.

Still, no engine mods listed. I can take em'.

why get rid of its lovely wavy lines and turn them into box-vents?

I wasn't aware the EVO series ever had lovely wavy lines... In the flesh, the hood vents don't work as well as a standard EVO's and that front splitter? Give me a break.

The 14 year-old in me does sort of dig the sash running down the length of the car though. It's sort of like the old EVO Tommy Maakinen edition (can't be bothered to check spelling).

One thing is for sure: it's not the most beautiful car in town. It looks hideous.

Hmm... I remember that I saw a Pepsi sticker-plastered Evo on ebay once.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

Not all that strange. Pepsi and Mitsubishi are better than Coke and Subaru

(and the comparison is just about as irrelevant)

    Well obviously, its an Evo

From what I can see in that spec/blurb the only performance mod is a set of spark plugs. Now wouldn't Mitsubishi have thought of that already when making the car?
