S600 in my book. The S class is just a staple of the automotive world and Mercedes do it better than anyone.
Having owned several luxury sedans in recent years, including two Audi A8s (one S8 and an A8L, but not the W12) the A8L would again be my choice. I will say that after test driving the W12 a few years ago, it didn't offer much extra for the $$$.
Never own more cars than you can keep charged batteries in...

The new Rollys Royce Ghost. Probably the most luxurious and comfortable car ever designed (judging by the pictures). Followed by the new 2009 Alpina B7 (not yet on ultimatecarpage). Sensational looking and extremely rapid huge car with 21 inch, 20 spoke wheels. Nice.
Sadly the pre-'80s era is dead, Fleet.
The new yacht club has a healthy supply of 7ers.
