I'm drinking heavily for a week, guys - Petrov is in Renault, now officially. Welcome the first ever team with both Slavic drivers

Rumors about Marussia deal have been refreshed recently - it was mentioned that Virgin wil race as Virgin - Marussia, but lately it was rejected by other rumors. We'll see

In other news, I like the new Sauber car and the new Renault livery, which resembles those RS01 cars, although in general in terms of looks R30 seems like an evolution of an R29, unlike most of the other cars I've already seen.

The answer came on its own... It's not an R30 - it's an R29 in a new livery. R30 will be shown only tomorrow during testing sessions.

It has an old narrow front wing... I guess we are still to wait a bit.

That's what I meant - it's not an R30 Seems like today's car was an R30, but with an old nose. Interesting that they have obviously hidden the rear diffuser.

I think of all the cars shown so far, the Renault looks to be possibly the least evolutionary from the 2009 design, which would have to be a worry for them. I cant see anything on their car that may have been inspired from last years Brawn or Red Bull, which would have to be the target for most of the teams.

the points system, revised in December, has been further amended, the winner gets 25, 2nd 18 (in stead of 20), 15 for 3rd, and then 12, 10, 8,6,4,2,1. This system gives the winner a slightly higher reward.

Does BMW retain naming rights to Sauber F1 or are they partially footing the bill?

Neither really. The name's still there because a) they havent applied for a name change and b) It keeps Bernie off their back with trying to claim theyre an all new entry and not allowed to claim BMW Sauber's 2009 prize money.
