Which is kind of sad, as it further drives people to buy the same colours over and over again.

Variety is the spice of car colours.

Yes, but unlike spicy food, it's not always easy to get rid of.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

Here is something interesting regarding car colors. This is a page from the 1969 Cadillac data book which shows the ratio of colors selected for the 1968 model year.

Styles G-N-J-B-L refers to the Deville coupe and sedan and the Calais coupe and sedan. As shown, style F is the DeVille convertible, style H is the front-wheel drive Eldorado and styles M-P the Fleetwood 60 Special and Brougham. The ratio of the series 75 limousine and 9-passenger sedan for some reason is not listed.

It looks like, overall, black, white and gold were the 3 most popular colors for the '68 Cadillac.

According to me, White has been the most beautiful and chosen car color in automotive industry. Because, it's look very luxurious and rich. I always like white color in car.

It happened again! A gathering of white cars. This time only 3, not 4, and on my street, about 4 houses away.

The second photo shows a closer view...

    That seems reasonable.
Life's too short to drive bad cars.

This all reminds me of an unfortunate Bernie Ecclestone quote about domestic appliances.
"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"
