    Wife's '06 Scion XA

    Just bought it for her yesterday. I already purchased the spoiler and the keyless entry but Toyota is going to call me next week to get them installed.

    The little car comes standard with tilt-steering-wheel with audio controls, power locks, cargo area cover, power mirrors, power windows, 6 speakers, Pioneer stereo with mp3/wma, mp3 plug, etc. Pretty good deal and a perfect car for her.

    mpg = 31 city / 38 hwy.

    Why a Scion?

    Why not a Civic or a "cooler" car, like a Celica or something on that line...

    Celicas are extremely expensive next to a Scion XA, I'm 21 and a recent graduate, can't really afford that much that fast.

    The XA is cheaper than any Civic, Mazda 3, etc.. and it is exactly the car she wanted. She had a Yaris back in Vzla and she wanted something similar to it... fell in love with the XA since she saw it.

    My brother's brand new Corolla has half of that features. No mp3 capability, no power windows, no power locks, no audio control on steering wheel etc.

    Gotta love the inputs in this thread. Great posts

    Hey if the wife is happy with it that's all that matters - not my cup of tea all the same.

    Giver her a few more years and she will be looking to get an 8 seater SUV!

    Maybe the one getting the SUV will be Niko himself. Nice Scion, hope you get some alloys soon.

    Take off those wheel covers. You don't neccessecarily need alloys, just take off the hubcaps, for they are the work of satan.

    But not anything else??

    Goodstuff there N. The xA here is just that bit more expensive (since you said it's cheaper than a Civic and such) - more than a Civic but less than a Celica. Interesting how prices go around.
