Audi Quattro all the way. Audi has been in the AWD business for a long time and does it better than anyone. I had an S4, it was great off the line and better in the corners. Subaru is good also, but as far as Japanese cars go, I'll pick the Evo III over the Subaru any day.

You would have to go with Quattro... Untill recently the Subi AWD has been good, but very crude and mechanical.... Audi have been at it for far too long for anyone to touch them at the moment... but i am sure this will change with the EVO VIII, and MY05 STI... they are quickly catching up....

Ford made good F1 engines in the 60s and 70s, would you want a Ford engine in your F1 car now?

i can not say i have driven them all but i drove my friends,s c-lass 4 matic las t winter and the quattro system in the previous genreation A4 also in winter and let me telll you that the audi felt a lot better on snow and ice. not only was the handling better but the power delivery to the whells was very impressive... i mean from my experience i would have to go with the audi quattro system.... specially since i heard the newer models were even better

On a track, they say that the Evo system will kill the rest, except for maybe the ATTESA-ETS (from the ol' R34 GTR). Off road, I'd take an Evo, Audi may have made the first AWD rally cars, but they were only the best for a couple of years. Though that was mainly the fault of the rest of the car...
