I'm split between the M5 and the Porsche. Those are the only two cars that you could probably drive on a daily basis and not be worried much about it. If anything I would throw out the Countach and put an NSX in its place.

    That would be real perfection.

I think either a DB9, a Vanquish S or a 997 Turbo is pretty much as close a combination to design and engineering perfection as you can get.

and how the hell would i afford the maintenance on a F1?
If you can afford a F1, I doubt maintenance is a problem.

I'll agree with the Porsche Turbo in general, but the DB9? Let alone, the Vanquish S? C'mon, Aston Martin has made better examples of perfection than those.

    Better than the DB9?

EDIT Well the DBS perhaps, but I guess that's too new.

I always thought the DB5 was more of a perfect Aston than the DB9.

Well probably yes, but then a DB7 would also be better than the DB9.

I never thought the Porsche Turbo was a perfect Porsche, though.

I've always prefered normally aspirated Porsches, especially those with an R and an S.

i still think it's too expensive and overpowered to be perfection, if you know what i mean. A lotus elan you can used well on any road, whereas an F1 you sort of need a larger, open road/racetrack. it's just not as accessible

As much as I could never say that there is one perfect car. These are close as I could come without getting ridiculous. None of them would stay stock.

    3. 1995 Volvo 850 T5R

    5. 1993 Mazda RX-7 R1

To me, perfection can't cost more than a house. If I'm going to have heart palpitations when I see new stone chips, then I really don't want to own it.

It's 627 horses and price tag don't mean anything. It's still a supercar you can perfectly use everyday if you wanted to.

Of course, I thought this was a thread about cars where everything about it was done perfectly i.e. performance and design.
