Entry Level Car Choice

So today the family and I went car shopping for my brother. My dad got tired of him using the G35 to go from here on Staten Island to Brooklyn every morning. bad roads, bad parking, bad gas mileage. so we decided upon buying or leasing a car for him. our requirements were cheap, manual gearbox and 4 cylinders and pref 2 doors. I was thinking along the lines of Honda Civic coupe (non si) Nissan Sentra, Toyota Corolla, Scion Tc, Chevy Cobalt. We ended up at a VW dealer and we like the Rabbit! amazing car. its fast, fuel efficient, safe, sport, comes wiht a lot of crap standard but it is a bit pricey. which of these would you get? i'm sure you all know the specs of these 2008 models. i'm not even gonna post the corolla, it was total crap and no way i want that!

so please tell me what you think and why

well the honda is overpriced, the VW is unreliable, the corolla is as enteratining as haemerrhoids, the sentra is an S15 minus the RWD/turbo/fun, so that doesn't leave much

Slobalts are teh awesomz. I drive one daily.

I'd consider the reliability (or lack of) of VW's products before buying one. The Civic seems to be a safe bet.

I agree with the slobalt parts. Although I'm almost certain that the bunny comes with more fun stuff at entry level.
