    Its not particularly hard to fit wider rims/tyres. They cant go too much more inboard, but theres nothing stopping them reducing the offset and going deep dish with some arch flares.
    Maybe some Torana modified ones..

    Yeah Holden woke up to themselves and put 275's on the back of all HSV's. The SSV and everything though is still 235 all round IIRC. I think Ford are just being cheap bastards, scared to stiff someone with $2000 a set tyre bills. You kinda need to make exceptions for these things driving 300kw+ RWD street cars though. If you want something thats ~$100 a tyre, buy a Camry.

    Possibly their doing it for themselves as well itll probably keep the cost of the base model down a few $$$ and then they can sell the larger wheel options as dealer fit and make some money ontop of that.
    Lifts heavy things and hits hard......also eats as much as 2/3 people and sleeps 10 hours a day!
