Audi engine swap help? (cool pic)

I am building a new rockcrawler, and just got the engine I plan on using for the project. Bad thing is I can't seem to find much info at all about people swaping these motors into anything. The engine is a 2.7L twin turbo from a '01.

First question I will need to use as aftermarket standalone ECU to run all of the fuel injection, does anyone have any experience using one of these system on this engine?

Second I will need to adapt this engine to an automatic transmission, I would prefer to use a GM tranny, anyone done this?

Just to kinda show what I am building, here is the competition buggy we just finished building. Subaru 2.5L turbo charged flat four, GM powerglide tranny, atlas transfercase, Ford 9" Dana 60 hybred axles, setup as mid engine, and running 40" tires.

People are regularly putting them into Lotus Exiges .. which is pretty easy once youve removed the clam etc. I would have thought that it would be the same as slotting in any type of engines as long as you have all the correct mountings.

motec is an engine management system which will run your engine its a racing engine management system and is very complicated to use a simple engine management like haltech systems or something should do the trick... as for the engine and the box i hav no idea...

In our Subaru powered car we use a Link enigine management system, very simular to Motec.

Man I really wish more people had messed with this engine!
