Return of the speed 12 ?

I know that Jim has already seen this but i thaught id show the rest of you

    800+bhp and on the prowl!

The TVR Cerbera Speed 12 has lived a life in the shadows of late. Although raced in the British GT series for a couple of years, the road car never made it into production. One road going prototype was shown at various meetings and features in TVR publicity shots but with over 800bhp, former owner of TVR felt that it didn't make a viable road car!

After considerable work, the prototype has been brought back to life. The 8 litre, 48 valve V12 engine is running again and is delivering an estimated 880bhp! That gives tyre shredding performance in any gear, with the dash to 200mph quoted at just 14 seconds. Top speed is still a subject of much debate!

To mark its comeback, the Speed 12 is to make a number of high profile appearances, the first of which is at tonight's Gala launch for Sony's Gran Turismo 4.

Just a bit of info ive compiled :

The Speed 12 and the Cerbera Speed Twelve are different cars.

This is the Cerbera Speed Twelve which im presuming is the one theyre making

Not to be mistaken with the Speed 12 which was a race car and concept car

The Cerbera Speed Twelve was originally going to be sold at £120,000 and had a claimed top speed of 240mph+. The idea was scrapped because Peter Wheeler (i think i remembered that rightly) thought it was extremely unsafe. Only one is on the road today which has been modified with racing vents to avoid serious overheating.

will be reliable as a result of the russians handywork, all good as long as the car doesn't lose any of its raw savagness
which is the whole point of a TVR

There is only the one car btw, they haven't started making them again.

Just the one that has been restored to its full potential.

The car appeared at the "million dollar garage" Gran Turismo launch, Silverstone TVR and has completed a shakedown run at Silverstone and Bruntingthorpe.

It will be appearing in April's Evo, a TV programme, as yet undecided.

There will be some definative performance testing as well.

Spins its rears doing conservative changes from 4th to 5th.
