Been averaging well over 40mpg lately...hoping against hope to yield over 40mpg all-time by the end of the warm weather. Unfortunately the 1NZ-FE engine doesn't much cotton to my laziness in taking out a nice load of scrap metal I couldn't unload at the scrap yard since they are only open exactly when I am at work...

This was achieved in a fat car with an automatic. For our non-metric members it equals to 54.6mpg US / 65.7mpg UK.

    I even managed to see 4,1l/100km (57.3mpg US / 68.9mpg UK).

The whole tank (including quite a lot of city and careless driving) came up to 5,3l/100km (44.3mpg US / 53.3mpg UK).

    That's what diesel does...

Beautiful! Did you go by what the FCD said, or fillup-to fillup?

Had another PR for commute, 45,08mpg (5,22l/100km) on my last tank. This current tank struggled with multiple issues and is likely to come out in the 44mpg (5,4l/100km) range. Doubt I will make my 40mpg goal for the season, but I did win CleanMPG.com's spring 2013 fuel economy challenge for the C-team.

    Still lookin' good though.

Full tank was fill-up to fill-up in the old school odometer to fuel pump maths.

The other figures taken from the trip computer, so probably two or three tenths of a litre should be added for reality.

On the long drive down from Edinburgh to Eindhoven I did:
    1st tank: 1l:15,9 km !!!
2nd tank: 1l:13,6 km (including the busy road between Birmingham and London)
3rd tank: 1l:13,2 km (speed increasing on the quiet night roads in France/Belgium).

All in all not bad considering I did 1l:6,7 km on a track-day tank!

The 1st tank was a PB as well! I feel proud

I've been averaging north of 40mpg latey, had a string of tanks above 44mpg (5,3l/100km).

Also had my first statistically significant 50+mpg trip...171.something miles at 50,75mpg (4,6l/100km). Also had what I think is a record good trip the other day, ~16 miles at 56,0mpg (4,2l/100km).

I used to hate this car.

    Fist tank in the Giulietta.

    925km, 53,8 litres of fuel.

    5,8l/100km (40.5mpg US / 48.7mpg UK).

    I'm pleased.

    And another Giulietta here.

Computer shows average 7,0 L/100 km (or 40 mpg (UK) or 34 mpg (US))

I suppose it's not too bad for a petrol car.

I achieved my goal of achieving a "lifetime" 40mpg (a smidge under 5,9l/100km) average in my Echo this year. My 10-tank average is 42,3mpg (5,6l/100km).
