    They never came in any other colour but red, and were definetly not British, and...

    They were designed and built by Alan Mann in the UK and powered by a British Cosworth V8. The only thing Ford did was pay the bills and pull the plug.

    and the winner is........................;

    A Dulon GT, powered by a 1.6 liter Ford engine, twin Weber carburettors. The company built more single seaters than just this one GT.

    Actually they built more sportscars than just this one. There is at least one more: a Porsche powered open prototype. It should be at the Silverstone Classic this weekend.
