    Sorry, had to FTFY.

Interesting post-quali interview with Seb, asked if he thought he could match Mansell's 14 poles in a season record. He said they weren't thinking about it but I bet they are. Mansell did it with the virtually unbeatable '92 active-suspension Williams. The championship is Vettel's unless something drastic occurs... from the pointy end he delivers.

Also interesting that the first five rows of this race are team pairs! How many times has that happened? If it weren't for Perez taking 11, the Williams team would make up the sixth row!

    I hadn't noticed that. Interesting.

Now imagine each team mate crashing into each other fighting for position in the first corner...

It's clear that Michael Schumacher isn't what he used to be. In his shots he was seen not getting too close to the walls...

... but a bit too close to Perez.

Webber seems unable to get a start right, wonder what's up there. Impressive performance from diResta, and Hammy was a woulda shoulda but even after FOUR stops and a drive-through, still slashed through to finish 5th. Boy needs to be calmer like his team mate. Ferrari looked whacked. Anyway, Japan won't decide the championship either the way things are going, so down to Brazil again. It's been a very entertaining season.

AFAIK Vettel only needs a single point to win the championship, therefore he could clinch it at Suzuka (easily).

As it stands, Vettel only needs one point but if Button were to win at Suzuka the gap is still less than 125 in total.

No matter... the championship is clearly won.

His pace was there though, despite being out pretty early his fast lap held on to 11th place from less than 1/2 distance....
