Which of these will win a race around 'ring ?
Assuming both drivers have equal skills.

Is this even realistic? lol The skyline would walk all over it and throw its fat ass to the junk yard.
Taking in donations for a Lancia Delta Integrale, please be considerate of a fellow forum member....:)
They're both overweight but the Skyline would still pwn. It wouldn't be the most spectacular lap time ever for either of the contenders though.
This is some sort of joke, surely. The R34!Originally Posted by sunk

You guys answer as if there was no competition whatsoever.
3000GT VR-4 = 3810lbs - 320hp - 315lbs torque = 0.083bhp/lbs
R34 = 3672lbs - 280hp - 289lbs torque = 0.076bhp/lbs
Says the 3672.9lbs Skylinelol The skyline would walk all over it and throw its fat ass to the junk yard.
I do actually believe that the R34 would win, but it pisses me off how everybody just jumps to conclusions. I'll search for track times once I get home.
EDIT: The 3000GT is the one with the better power-to-weight ratio, I gave 0.083 to the Skyline by mistake.

R34, just because it has so much more of a following than the VR-4. This following must be based in some good reasons.

Acutally the skyline fallowing only happend because it was backed by nissan. Mistubish did not back the 3000gt like nissan backed the skyline. But it would honestly be a drives race. They are both heavy and slow, both have awd. But i believe the 3000gt has more torque so it would be better in a road course.
The 300gt has 315ft/lbs of torque and the Gtr has 289 ft/lbs of torque.
the skyline would win with a huge time gap between the cars because the skyline was tuned at the ring and held the unofficial record.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.
I'm going for the R34.
the skyline only weighs3300lbs/1500kg.Originally Posted by Niko_Fx

I belive the Skyline weighs 3330lbs. As far as a race goes i would bet my money on the skyline! But then again Im sure the Dodge Stealth R/T would have a better chance then the 3000GT. Same VR4, same tranny and considerably lighter then the big ass 3000GT body!
the skyline has a time of less than 8 minutes, thats all i know (thats porsche 997 territory)
EDIT: power doesn't matter, the Skyline's more powerful than the quoted figure anyway, but 4-wheel steering and great handling helps

I'm goin with the R34. I don't like skylines, but i believe it would have a slight margen over the 3000. I give credit to the 3000 though. I'm glad this isnt another supra, skyline thread. misewell be though
