    Recommend Action RPG Games

I'm playing Borderlands with my cool game player(link removed) at the moment with a friend and I am LOVING it!

But I need another game to play single player so what would people suggest in the Action RPG niche?

    Gears of war
is another one of my favorites because of the game-play
but doesn't have the RPG aspect... Also just finished splinter cell and am looking forward to the next due to the strategy involved... can be frustrating sometimes though!

I used to be into fantasy type games like Diablo but haven't found any to be all that great on 360... yet...

    Welcome to the boards.

I'd definitely recommend Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Mass Effect 1 and 2, and Dragon Age Origins. Mass Effect is a sort of Gears of War with an RPG twist.....with a great Sci-Fi story to boot. Oblivion and Mass Effect are a bit more on the direct action side, but Dragon Age is just an overall awesome experience as well. I don't know if they all quantify as "action RPG's", but all of them involve real time combat (no turned based stuff). You shouldn't be disappointed with any of these selections. And considering how cheaply you can pick up Oblivion and the first Mass Effect for these days, there's absolutely no reason not to check out either or both of them.

    I concur with the above

    -Mass Effect 1 and 2
-Fallout 3 with all it's DLCs should provide you with over a year of gaming.

Crap, I completely forgot about Fallout! Yea, definitely check that out as well. If it's available go for the Game of the Year Edition, as it has all of the downloadable expansions/add-ons built in.
