S Class isnt meant to be fun and involving, they have more driver aids than Lexus .The AMG Mercs might be fun the S class certainly isnt .I have been in a S430 and the car and the owner certainly were not fun, a Holden HSV Grange is a much more involving drive, not with the same polish as the Merc, and about 150 grand cheaper

In the context of premium luxury sedans like these, the Holden might be good value to those buyers who are restricted by budget. But the 2005 HSV Grange is basically a tarted up 1997 Commodore, and positively antediluvian in comparison

Well nowadays German cars don't have the greatest reliability. Lexus is top-ranked in that category and it definitely raises its stock in this class. The Mercedes S-Class never flattered me too much. Lexus LS430 and BMW 7-series always seemed better buys, and now the Audi A8 seems to be as well, and if you wanted to you can even argue the Inifinity Q45 can match these sedans.

Lexus is a better quality car in general, but it's so plain..... the Merc have more class and power, although u mite have to visit the dealership more often..

i'd take the Merc please..if i can afford one, i'll prob have another spare car when the merc is in garage.. hahha
