    1958 Chevrolet Impala

Chevy Impala was introduced in 1958 as a new high-end trim package created for sport coupes and convertibles Bel Air. Unique to the model were the six taillights, which compared with background levels of fun with only two lights on the side. This classic design appropriate brand.

Welcome to "my" corner, and thanks for bringing it back to live.
Best use the attachment system for uploading pictures. It will deal with the size of your shot.

Love the 1958 Chevy lineup - while most of GM's lineup was overwrought that year, even in my opinion (!), the '58 Chevy has a magnetism that's drawn me for several years. Though, I'd rather have a Del Ray wagon or 2-door sedan with a 235 I6 and three on the tree

I found several shots of 58 Impalas in my archives, some of which I will upload as soon as I can hook up my laptop to the web.

It's interesting to note and to see (check the second photo on the first post of this thread), that at the time, Chevrolet were heavily promoting their "wider, lower, longer" look and the advertising material featured doctored cars with significantly lower rooflines and suspension than production cars.

It was a trick that evidently worked.
