    1948 Bellytank Lakester

Not my photos... I copied them all because they're so beautiful. This car was on eBay, maybe the best of it's type recently offered.
Amazing thing, an unrestored period SCTA car recently fettled and run at Muroc. A thing of purity, beauty and purpose.

    1948 Bellytank Lakester

More photos... old-school fabrication using simple items, for example: a water tank (siphon, no radiators) made from an oil drum.

So plain simple and so great looking thing. I like belly tankers, they have some pure racing genes in them.

    P.S. Nice helmet indeed, Pieter
