Most of the Art Cars that raced at Le Mans have been BMWs. One of the exceptions was this Porsche 962 CK6, which participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1990. A Kremer Porsche team car, it raced with a Kenwood livery during the rest of the season. For Le Mans, it was finished with a design created by German artist Peter Klasen. It last competed in a contemporary race at Le Mans in 1993. The current Belgian owner had chassis CK6-06/02 re-painted in its Le Mans colours and first raced it at the recent Dix Mille Tours.
Also in action at Paul Ricard, be it briefly, was this Dodge Viper GTS-R. Attributed chassis number C13, it was never raced in period out of superstition. It did serve as a test and development car. This Viper was owned by Oreca through to 2006 and has recently been acquired by a French historic racer.
