    400+ kph (248 + mph) cars list

Hello everybody. I'm working under some article for my private web page and I'm looking for street/track cars with max speed at least 400 kph (248 mph). No matter if this speed was reached or only established, no matter if car is or is not in production and no matter if it really exists or is it only advanced computer vision (as Audi R-Zero). It just must be "ordinary" wheel-driven street/track car (no jet car or any of Bonneville's streamliners or cars from Land Speed Record which won't never enter the street or track, etc). Quite simple? Or maybe not...

So, this is what I've found (+ edits with your help) already (car name, max speed in kph [est or reached], additional info, doubts):

The Bugatti's top speed is still climbing.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

The Dodge Tomahawk concept has a theoretical top speed of over 300 mph, or so I've heard, but no one's insane enough to try it for real.

The Tomahawk should be considered a car. It has two skinny tires in front and back.

Apparently, the Jun Akira Supra JZA80 reached a topspeed of 401.2 km/h at Bonneville.

I don't think the Audi R-Zero should be included.

It was a student project, and I would be surprised if there was much in the way of actual, solid, proven engineering behind it, beyond a bit of theory.

That is fine, because that is all you need to do for that type of project, but that is all it is - a project.

You might as well include the "Fizzbag R666".

I just made it up, but it would be powered by rockets to a top speed of 600km/h - pic attached.

All I know about mph is that when I am down in Buffalo when they say 50, they mean 80, and when they say 30, they mean 50.

Stupid Imperial system is useless anyways.

Bah, just pull out the calculator and multiply by .625. I used to do it on the fly in my mini.. divide by 8, multiply by 5. Easy!

You do know that 2 1.8ts will provide more than sufficent power.

Yes I've heard about it, but it is hard to call it a car or motorcycle... or anything.

I forgot to say it must be a wheel-driven car. But maybe you're right - R-Zero shouldn't be here as only computer-vision, but I just couldn't resist and it is quite advanced vision comparing to yours Fizzbag R666.

I'm not looking for jet cars from Land Speed Records such Thrust SSC, Thrust 2, all Spirits OF America, etc...
