    Gulstrand GS90

We attended the annual Grand National Roadster Show yesterday, and as an extra special attraction, unceremoniously parked outside was one of Dick Gulstrand's GS90s. He created five of these. They were all put on Corvette C-4 chassis. This one was fitted to a C-4 ZR1 chassis with the proper LT-5 twin cam motor. It was great to see it here at this show.

never heard of that, is it a totally new body, or adjustment of front and rear panels? (The centre section looks quite C4..)

Well the central section in the Corvette are basically the doors which apparently are one of the parts most difficult and expensive to design and build, so it does make sense that those are left the same as in the donor car.

I think you're right, the center section is probably original. I'm sure he just replaced the outside of the doors, and the front and rear sections, but the car and the design are two decades old. Google it and see what comes up, there is a lot of info on it. Dick Gulstrand was a racer and car builder for probably forty years in the U.S.

it is all about having to carry out new crash tests or not I suppose.

Guldstrand also made a lot of tuner Corvettes, his 50th anniversary C5 is pretty nifty
