Christian v. Koenigsegg said he is happy that Guinness has recognized the CC and that he will strive for the official top speed record as well.

also, my friend brought up the bugatti veyron, but wasnt it not as fast as buggati wanted it to be, so they moved back the release date?

Maybe the Veyron will never hit full production, because of some problems with the aerodinamic of the car, because Bugatti wanted the Veyron to reach 450 kph, and Volkswagen is tired of spending money and time with the Veyron project, so if it will hit production (most improbable) only in the next years. but the koenigsegg speed records are all estimates. The true test that ever tested is the Mclaren F1 that hit 241mph.

all the ccr needs now is a test track that is long enough, IT can use the one that the mclaren used. and it is 806hp.

at the moment, the fastest tested street car is the McLaren F1. However, the Dauer 962 Le Mans has been tested by computers to reach 250 mph. It's also the record holder for the quickest 0-60 time (2.6 seconds). Many supercars have never had their top speeds tested, so right now your answer is the McLaren F1

Doesnt the Panoz LMP-1 roadster S have the fastest 0-60(2.3 sec.)It also has a 0-100 time of4.4 seconds. But it "only" has a top speed of 181.
