    Happiness is 3 numbers.

Not posted on here in some time even though I drop in and out of the forums to see what's happening. After spending 12 months driving a rather unreliable, unimaginative and unappealing 1998 BMW 318i SE with only 68,000 miles on the clock. I have finally got rid and have bought myself something that is altogether prettier, faster and has a boot to stick the dog in. Hopefully I should be picking it up tommorrow or Wednesday for an absolute bargain price. I'm absolutely over the moon and can't wait to get back to enjoying driving again.

So who wants to guess what it is?

First clue: It has a 1970cc 4 pot with DOHC and variable valve timing.

Either that or a GT 2.0.

Edit if it's three numbers, it can't be a GT. Therefore I choose a 147 2.0 to not repeat.

Revo got it. It's a 2002 156 2.0 Veloce Sportwagon. It's done 76,000 miles had a brand new engine and clutch 33,000 miles ago with a full Alfa service history and has all the trimmings. I can't wait. I loved my last Alfa and have spent the last 12 months regretting the day I swapped it for a BMW.

Need to get it, MOT it and tax it so it won't be on the road till the weekend because of today's bank holiday. Once i've got it all cleaned up nice and spangly i'll get some eggnog pictures up.

Nice! I really like the 156/159 wagons, I think they're some of the nicest looking wagons made.

Why would it need a new engine at 43k miles?
