Latest issue of Wheels compares the HSV W427 and Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG.
AMG is quicker to 100 (4.7s for AMG and 4.9s for HSV), but HSV has faster rolling start times (for the 80-120km/h run in third, times were 3.1s for HSV & 3.2s for AMG).
AMG costs $269,675 compared to $155,500 for the HSV. Wheels gives both cars 4 1/2 stars out of 5, and says if it were their dollars down they'd choose the HSV.
UCP's biggest Ford Sierra RS500 and BMW M3 E30 fan. My two favourite cars of all time.

If they really wanted to open it up, they shouldve thrown an F6 in. Half as much as the W427, which again is getting close to half as much as the AMG. Slower from a standstill, but is one of only a few dozen cars globally which gets sub 3s 80-120km/h.

An incredibly ugly car and just underlines the shame that when people bought the HDT name they also bought the rights to use the name brock.
Lifts heavy things and hits hard......also eats as much as 2/3 people and sleeps 10 hours a day!

    Indeed.

It doesn't work the other way round either.

P.S Dont like the exterior or interior, I prefer the R8 spend 10 grand on that for a ASE turbo kit and 400rwkw.

W427 = fail in my book, plenty of cashed up tradies will probably buy them though
how can you think that an f6 will spank it? it's not overpriced. it's a lot cheaper than some other cars of its calibre. compare:

    HSV W427: 7.0 L V8, 375 kw, 250 km/h (limited; probably capable of more without limiter)

F6: 4.0 L turbo six, 310 kw, 250 km/h (limited; possibly capable of more without limiter)

so it's a draw! hsv wins with power, but it's a tie with top speed. and what do u mean, "under 10 grand"? if you mean price, you're way off the mark.
