    ART based on Mercedes-Benz CLS

    The super sports car from ART on the basis of a Mercedes CLS55/63 AMG will be available in April 2006. He covers all wishes concerning a hotblooded sports car of formidable performance and subtle, elegant design in coupé manner. Unique stars that leave nothing to be desired.

    The developers from ART in Nuremberg, Germany succeeded in launching the GTR into the segment of top-class sports cars. Comprehensive, tightly focussed upgrades transformed the basis CLS55/63 AMG into a meaty sports tool with brilliant performance. At the same time its appearance displays an air of diplomatic elegance, without drifting into the harsh design lines of its class competitors.

    A shift into a higher level for the 4-door CLS coupé from Mercedes-Benz concerning performance, exterior and interior. During the “Middle East Motor Show” Dubai in December 2005 the refined sports vehicle had its first introduction to the public. Next official introduction step will be the “Special Import Car Show” in Tokyo April 2006. Customers in Europe are able to order it from April 2006 onwards with the following technical details and equipment options:

    Engine and exhaust system

    The GTR is up to now available in two different motor performance versions. Basis CLS55 AMG Compressor with 350kW/476hp @ 6.100 U/min, torque 700Nm

    • GTR 560: performance increase to 560hp/790Nm, 0-100km/h in 4,4s
    • GTR 620 (export version): performance increase to 620hp/890Nm, 0-100km/h in 4,0s

    For the shortly appearing version CLS63 AMG is the performance upgrade in development process

    Sport exhaust system made of stainless steel with metal catalytic converters and 4 double-walled 100mm endpipes

    Wheels and suspension

    • 4 link front suspension and multi-link independent rear suspension with a track widening of front/rear 70 and 80mm, an electronically adjusted and lowered, height adjustable
    • Semi-active air suspension with torsion bar stabilizer
    • Tires front 255/30ZR20
    rear 305/25ZR20
    • Wheels front 9,5J x20 3-piece, type ARTstar2
    rear 10,5J x20 3-piece, type ARTstar2
    • Wheel stars on request painted in the color of the GTR
    Body
    • Wider body with especially developed front wings, wider sills, door applications on the rear doors as well as wider rear wings
    • Front spoiler bumper with double lip and additional double light system
    • Additional carbon fibre front spoiler lip
    • Lamella grill without MB star
    • Rear bumper with integrated diffusor
    • Additional carbon fibre diffusor
    • Big tilted trunk lid wing with direction flaps on the side

    • Carbon fibre mirror housings
    • ART and GTR vehicle lettering with replacement of the MB stars
    • Special paintings, also in multi-color
    Interior
    • Bespoke interior trims in carbon fibre, leather and alcantara according to customer specification
    • Sport airbag steering wheel and shiftknob on request in carbon fibre, leather and/or alcantara
    • ART velour carpet with logos, on request with the initials of the owner
    • Entry ledges with illuminated ART-Logo
    • STEPLIGHTS on the sills

    Aspiration = supercharger
    Torque = 656 lb-ft
    HP = 620 hp
    0-62 mph = 4 seconds

    2007 ART GTR 374 based on Mercedes-Benz CLS 350

    The new super sports car from ART for the European market on the basis CLS 350 is ready for take off. It covers all wishes concerning a hotblooded sports car of formidable performance and subtle, elegant design in coup manner. Unique star that leaves nothing to be desired.

    The developers from ART in Nuremberg, Germany succeeded in launching the GTR 374 into the segment of top-class sports cars for the European market. Comprehensive, tightly focussed upgrades transformed the basis CLS 350 into a meaty sports tool with brilliant performance.     A shift into a higher level for the 4-door CLS coup from Mercedes-Benz concerning performance, exterior and interior. During the MotorShow Essen in December 2006 the refined sports vehicle as shown above has its first introduction to the public. During 3 month extended roadshow the vehicle will be presented on the premises of the most successful Mercedes-Benz dealers in germany. Customers in Europe are able to order it from now onwards with the following technical details and equipment options:

    - Airbag in Alcantara with ART logo

    - ART steering wheel shift paddles for 7G Tronic in carbon style

    - ART Carbon interior equipment: complete dash board, ashtray mask, mask above ashtray, selection lever, shift floor, 2 louvers between rear seats

    - ART leather/alcantara basic upgrade equipment with contrast stitching

    - Door panels Alcantara diamonds quilting

    Eww, the spoiler on the '06 model is brutal. But I don't mind the '07, although the front kit is not very appealing.

    I like the 06 one. The 07 looks like it was designed using NFS Carbon.

    You'd have to be very rich.... and IF you actually consider this then you deserver it !

    fugly as it may be (which im kind of not certain about ARM) its still fuick
