If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

Didn't Sauber confirm Kobayashi and Perez for 2012 back in July?

Anyone know exactly what is going on with the Road of the Americas circuit? My understanding is that Bernie is demanding unreasonable amounts of money now for the track, while the race is still a year away. I believe Bernie is just bullying the sponsors of the track for more money. I think that is very wrong indeed, especially since there are a few tracks that may drop out of next season. Romania, Turkey, and Korea come to mind.

More accurately, Bernie offered a massive discount as mate's rates but then the us partners coudlnt' get their acts together and so Bernie's offer to the new guys was the normal fees. So not any more "unreasonable" than for any other circuit.

THEN the Texas gov decided they weren't happy giving them 10s of millions of $$$ for one of TWO races in the US.

So, I'm afriad all the blame sits on the US (dis)organisers who seem to have been NOT talking to each other towards a successful goal and instead just focussing on their own little needs/wants.

Hate him, but this time won't blame Bernie.

Maybe they can't understand race tracks that have corners that turn right, as well as left.

    Probably.

Well, when you watch F1 on Speed with American announcers, they tend to put a slant on their "news." As is all news in the US, I suppose.
